At Grow and Play Therapy Support we are passionate about empowering children to achieve their full potential through personalised care and playful, engaging interventions. As a mobile support work and allied health assistant service based on the Gold Coast, QLD, we bring therapy-driven support directly to the familiar and safe environments where children thrive most.
Our services cater to children of all ages, from babies to teens, and are designed to address a wide range of developmental and participation challenges. Whether it’s building friendships, mastering motor skills, developing resilience or accessing the community, we will work collaboratively with families and allied health professionals to make therapy goals achievable and enjoyable.
Founded in 2024, we are committed to understanding each child as a unique individual. Through a blend of evidence-based approaches and a focus on meaningful, fun activities, we aim to nurture growth, independence and confidence every step of the way. From big milestones to the little moments that matter most, we are here to support your child on their journey.
A heartfelt and friendly hello
Hello and welcome! I’m Tia Whaite, the founder of Grow and Play Therapy Support. With a Bachelor of Health Science under my belt and a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy currently in progress, I am passionate about helping children and families thrive. As an Allied Health Assistant, I work closely with skilled mentors in speech pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and dietetics to deliver high-quality, evidence-based and child-centred care.
Born on the Central Coast of NSW, I moved to the Gold Coast in 2021 and fell in love with the vibrant community and sunny lifestyle. When I am not working or studying, you will likely find me at the gym, running or enjoying the beach with my fiancé and our cocker spaniel Chilli.
I have always been drawn to supporting children, and my journey into the field of paediatrics has been incredibly fulfilling. Through Grow and Play Therapy Support, I strive to create a nurturing and empowering environment where children can achieve their goals—whether that’s mastering motor skills, navigating social interactions, building resilience or much more.
My superpower is connecting with children and tailoring interventions to meet each individual’s unique needs while fostering confidence and independence. From play-based activities to community engagement, my approach is always guided by compassion, creativity and a commitment to making a difference.
